Getting a crew in and out of Lederach without disrupting anyone starts with knowing the building stock. Lederach is a small unincorporated community with a mix of professional offices and light-industrial space just east of Harleysville, and that mix means the route, the parking plan and the equipment we bring can look different from one stop to the next, even within the same town.
About Lederach: History & Character
We'll be straightforward about this one: Lederach is a small unincorporated village inside Lower Salford Township, and there just isn't much written specifically about it beyond its location at the crossroads of Route 113, Salfordville Road, Old Skippack Road and Cross Road. What we can say for certain is that it's one of four named villages in the township — alongside Harleysville, Mainland and Vernfield — and that Lederach Golf Club, a public 18-hole course that opened in 2006, is genuinely located there.
Because Lederach doesn't have its own census tract, the geography and demographics that actually apply are the township's: Lower Salford covers about 14.4 square miles and had 15,896 residents at the 2020 census, drained by the East Branch Perkiomen Creek and Skippack Creek — the same waterways that run past Harleysville itself, a few minutes down the road.
The township as a whole is home to Heckler Plains (a 36-acre historic farmstead once owned by Civil War general Winfield Scott Hancock), the 1717 Dielman Kolb Homestead, and the Mennonite Heritage Center. Souderton Area School District serves the community, with Oak Ridge Elementary and Indian Valley Middle School nearby.
Lederach's own ZIP code, 19450, is a genuinely small one — most of what shapes daily life for a business here, from schools to snow removal to zoning, actually runs through the township office rather than any Lederach-specific authority, which is worth knowing if you're new to the area.
Lederach itself has never had its own government, post office rolls, or population count separate from Lower Salford Township, so most of what can be said with confidence about the area beyond its golf course and historic homestead really belongs to the township that surrounds it. Lower Salford is run by a five-member Board of Supervisors elected at large to six-year terms, overseeing a township of 15,896 residents as of the 2020 census (an estimated 16,425 by 2024) spread across roughly 1,067 people per square mile. As of 2010 the township was about 90.6 percent white, with Asian residents making up 4.4 percent and Black residents 2.9 percent. It's a township with a few notable names attached: Drew Lewis, who served as U.S. Secretary of Transportation under President Reagan, radio personality Preston Elliot, singer-songwriter sisters Danielle and Jennifer Brown, and Bruce Castor, who served as Pennsylvania's Solicitor General after a stint as Montgomery County's district attorney. School-age kids in the Lederach section attend Souderton Area schools, including Oak Ridge and Vernfield elementaries feeding into Indian Valley Middle School. The township maintains a dozen parks under a federal-state-county Open Space and Green Belt program, and 80 miles of local roads, with Interstate 476 cutting through and Routes 63 and 113 handling local traffic — Route 113 being the same road that runs straight through the Lederach crossroads itself. The area was first settled in the early 1700s by German, Swiss, and Dutch farming families who split off from the original Salford Township in 1741 at the request of settler Jacob Reiff, and Pennsylvania Dutch remained the everyday language of the countryside well into the twentieth century.

How We Work in Lederach
We run our own 13-person crew — never subcontractors — so the same people learn your building, your alarm codes and your pet peeves over time. Near Bergey Rd and Harleysville Pike, that consistency matters: a crew that already knows where the breaker panel is and which door sticks moves faster and leaves less to chance.
Most of the offices we clean in Montgomery County run somewhere between 2,000 and 40,000 square feet, on a daily-to-weekly schedule set around when your last person leaves for the night. We plan Lederach stops so the truck parks once and the whole visit runs off that one spot, rather than shuttling gear back and forth.
Local Access, Planned Ahead
We confirm parking, entry codes and alarm procedures for every Lederach building before the first visit, not during it. If a building has a loading dock, a single unlocked door, or a strict after-hours sign-in, that gets written down and followed every time.
Mixed Building Types
Lederach isn't one kind of building — storefronts, professional suites, medical offices and corporate space all sit within a few minutes of each other. We staff and price each job by what it actually is, not by a one-size-fits-all rate.
Same Crew, Every Visit
The people who clean your Lederach office the first week are the same people who clean it the fiftieth. That continuity matters more in a place like this — a small unincorporated community with a mix of professional offices and light-industrial space just east of Harleysville — where a substitute crew would spend its first month just relearning the building. Small problems, a jammed door, a leaking fixture, get caught and reported before they become expensive ones.
