Getting a crew in and out of Franconia without disrupting anyone starts with knowing the building stock. Franconia is a mostly residential township wrapped around Souderton and Telford, with light-industrial and flex space along the PA 663 corridor, and that mix means the route, the parking plan and the equipment we bring can look different from one stop to the next, even within the same town.
About Franconia: History & Character
Franconia Township was founded in the late 1720s by German-speaking settlers who came here seeking religious freedom, and its name is a straight translation: "Franconia" is the English rendering of Franken, the region of Germany many of them left behind. It's still governed the way a lot of rural Pennsylvania townships are — five supervisors, elected at large. The township takes in several small villages, including Earlington, Morwood, Reliance, and the neighborhood of Harleysville that sits closest to our own home base.
At just under 14 square miles, Franconia is bordered by Hatfield, Towamencin, Lower Salford, Upper Salford and Salford townships on the Montgomery County side, and by West Rockhill and Hilltown townships plus the boroughs of Telford and Souderton on the Bucks County line — which tells you a lot about why we consider Franconia part of the same working neighborhood as our own headquarters. It's drained by the East Branch Perkiomen Creek and the West Branch Neshaminy Creek. As of the 2010 census the township counted just over 13,000 residents, and growth here has generally tracked the rest of the Indian Valley.
A stone bridge in Franconia Township is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the township's own elementary school dates to 1941 — old enough that the community marked its 75th anniversary with a time-capsule opening in 2016. PA Route 113 and Allentown Road carry most of the local traffic, with I-476 clipping the western edge of the township.
The township's population climbed from about 11,500 residents in 2000 to over 13,000 within a decade, which is a pace of growth typical of this whole corridor since the 1990s. Historic fraktur artist Samuel Gottschall is associated with the community, one of several small threads tying Franconia's Pennsylvania German roots to the present day.
Franconia's German-speaking founders came for religious freedom in the late 1720s, and the township they built still runs on a similar structure today: a Second Class Township government with five supervisors elected at-large to staggered six-year terms, currently represented in Harrisburg by state Rep. Steve Malagari of the 53rd District. The township maintains an unusually granular breakdown of its own roads — of roughly 79 miles of public roadway as of 2018, the township itself maintains about 57 miles, PennDOT another 20, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission the rest, reflecting how I-476 clips the township's western edge. SEPTA's Route 132 bus reaches the northeastern corner near Souderton, giving residents there a transit option most of rural Franconia lacks. The 2010 census recorded the population as 93.2% white, 3.3% Asian, and 1.6% Black or African American, with 1.8% identifying as Hispanic or Latino, and a density that still felt rural next to nearby Lansdale and Souderton. The stone bridge that anchors much of the township's historic character was formally added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, cementing a designation that had been informal for years before that.

How We Work in Franconia
We run our own 13-person crew — never subcontractors — so the same people learn your building, your alarm codes and your pet peeves over time. Near Allentown Rd (PA 663) and Godshall Rd, that consistency matters: a crew that already knows where the breaker panel is and which door sticks moves faster and leaves less to chance.
Most of the offices we clean in Montgomery County run somewhere between 2,000 and 40,000 square feet, on a daily-to-weekly schedule set around when your last person leaves for the night. We plan Franconia stops so the truck parks once and the whole visit runs off that one spot, rather than shuttling gear back and forth.
Local Access, Planned Ahead
We confirm parking, entry codes and alarm procedures for every Franconia building before the first visit, not during it. If a building has a loading dock, a single unlocked door, or a strict after-hours sign-in, that gets written down and followed every time.
Mixed Building Types
Franconia isn't one kind of building — storefronts, professional suites, medical offices and corporate space all sit within a few minutes of each other. We staff and price each job by what it actually is, not by a one-size-fits-all rate.
Same Crew, Every Visit
The people who clean your Franconia office the first week are the same people who clean it the fiftieth. That continuity matters more in a place like this — a mostly residential township wrapped around Souderton and Telford, with light-industrial and flex space along the PA 663 corridor — where a substitute crew would spend its first month just relearning the building. Small problems, a jammed door, a leaking fixture, get caught and reported before they become expensive ones.
