Getting a crew in and out of Skippack without disrupting anyone starts with knowing the building stock. Skippack is a historic village along Skippack Pike known for its shops and restaurants, ringed by newer professional office space, and that mix means the route, the parking plan and the equipment we bring can look different from one stop to the next, even within the same town.
About Skippack: History & Character
The Skippack area traces to German Anabaptist and Mennonite families who arrived in Philadelphia starting in 1683 and, within about twenty years, pushed west to farm along the Perkiomen and Skippack creeks. The name itself likely comes either from a Bavarian village called Schippach or from a Lenape word for "wet land" — sources differ, and Skippack Township wasn't split into its modern form until 1726. The village of Skippack today is a Census-Designated Place inside the township, not a separate municipality, but it has its own identity: an old general store dating to 1795, a post office from 1827, and a trolley line that ran through town from 1908 to 1925.
Skippack Township covers just under 14 square miles and, as of the 2020 census, had 14,386 residents; the village itself is home to about 4,100 of them across 2.6 square miles. The township borders Lower Salford, Towamencin, Worcester, and Lower Providence townships, plus Collegeville and Perkiomen Township, with the Perkiomen Creek forming its western edge on its way to the Schuylkill River.
Kuster Mill, built in 1702, and the Indenhofen (De Haven) farmstead from around 1720 are both on the National Register of Historic Places. Evansburg State Park sits partly within the township, and the State Correctional Institution at Phoenix — which replaced the old SCI Graterford in 2018 — is one of the larger institutional neighbors in the area. The Skippack village shopping district, with its restaurants, boutiques and "First Fridays" events each spring through fall, is genuinely one of the more walkable historic main streets in this part of the county.
It's also a genuinely well-off area by county standards — 2020 figures put the median household income around $128,700 and median home value near $414,500, roughly a quarter above the county median, with over 40% of adults holding a bachelor's degree or higher. Playcrafters of Skippack has been staging community theater here year-round for decades.
Skippack Township's local government runs on a five-member Board of Supervisors elected to staggered six-year terms, supported by an elected tax collector, a board of auditors, and a constable — a structure little changed from the township's long tradition of self-rule. Students living in the township attend the Perkiomen Valley School District, starting at either Skippack or Schwenksville Elementary before moving through one of the district's middle schools and on to Perkiomen Valley High School. The State Correctional Institution at Phoenix, which replaced the aging SCI Graterford next door in 2018, is by far the township's largest single employer, its roughly 3,500 inmates supporting prison industries that include a garment factory alongside a substantial civilian corrections staff. Skippack's poverty rate sits at a strikingly low 0.4 percent, well under both the county and state averages, echoing the prosperity visible in its home values and household incomes. Evansburg State Park gives residents hunting and fishing access, horseback riding trails, and an 18-hole golf course, while SEPTA's Route 91 bus runs into the township on Saturdays and Pennsylvania Routes 73 and 113 carry most of the through traffic — roads C3's crews know well on their way to clean commercial spaces around the township.

How We Work in Skippack
We run our own 13-person crew — never subcontractors — so the same people learn your building, your alarm codes and your pet peeves over time. Near Skippack Pike (PA 73), that consistency matters: a crew that already knows where the breaker panel is and which door sticks moves faster and leaves less to chance.
Most of the offices we clean in Montgomery County run somewhere between 2,000 and 40,000 square feet, on a daily-to-weekly schedule set around when your last person leaves for the night. We plan Skippack stops so the truck parks once and the whole visit runs off that one spot, rather than shuttling gear back and forth.
Local Access, Planned Ahead
We confirm parking, entry codes and alarm procedures for every Skippack building before the first visit, not during it. If a building has a loading dock, a single unlocked door, or a strict after-hours sign-in, that gets written down and followed every time.
Mixed Building Types
Skippack isn't one kind of building — storefronts, professional suites, medical offices and corporate space all sit within a few minutes of each other. We staff and price each job by what it actually is, not by a one-size-fits-all rate.
Same Crew, Every Visit
The people who clean your Skippack office the first week are the same people who clean it the fiftieth. That continuity matters more in a place like this — a historic village along Skippack Pike known for its shops and restaurants, ringed by newer professional office space — where a substitute crew would spend its first month just relearning the building. Small problems, a jammed door, a leaking fixture, get caught and reported before they become expensive ones.
